Chad Michael Murray does not lose his religion.
The “One Tree Hill” alum, 40, revealed that he wouldn’t take on certain acting roles if it offended his religious beliefs.
“I stick to the things I believe in,” Murray recently told Fox News. “Let’s just say a piece of material will come across my desk, which has happened so many times over the past 22 years, and I don’t necessarily feel like it’s what I believe in or what I’m selling — it just isn’t right for me.”
The “Cinderella Story” actor continued, “I don’t want to meddle in something I don’t believe in in any way because it would destroy it for everyone else involved with it.”
“If you don’t like the character you’re completely inhabiting and embracing, it will come out on screen. I always want to give the people I work with and the people who are going to watch the movie, most of what I do,” he said.
Murray added that he likes to keep his Christian faith close to him by wearing his “spiritual shield” every morning. Read and worship the Bible before going to work.
“I feel stronger and more secure when I walk my groups every day realizing that God is with me every day. Jesus said with me every day.” weight.”
“Fortress: Sniper’s Eye” is the next project of the former WB star, in which he works alongside Bruce Willis.
Willis, 67, announced his retirement from acting in late March after developing aphasia. The brain disorder affects his ability to communicate and affects his comprehension skills.
Murray has also been vocal about working with the “Die Hard” legend amid his health battles. “I guess I would say the majority of us all like him [Bruce Willis]. It was my childhood. “It’s a big part of my childhood,” said a father of two.
Murray continued, “For me, having this opportunity to walk on set and not just collaborate, but really create a relationship and get to know each other a little bit and talk and share old war stories and joke, goof, laugh and enjoy those moments — those are the moments I don’t take lightly.” And I am very grateful to her.”
Rumer, the daughter of the action movie icon, shared a statement about her father’s retreat from Hollywood on March 30.
“To the amazing Bruce supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has some health issues and was recently diagnosed with aphasia, which affects his cognitive abilities,” the statement read. “As a result of this and with so much consideration, Bruce is walking away from a career that meant so much to him.”
