Screen Rant: Daniel, I’m curious to see if this movie has evolved since I originally started this journey until now. How have things evolved over time?

Today display

Daniel Espinosa: First, we shot the movie, then COVID came. And that really gave us a chance. Deep down, all directors always want more time developing their films.

So, I have to say, I’m really excited about her coming out. But I was so happy to have had this time to think and work on the movie and finalize the details. It was a blast. The picture is always evolving, so the time was well used.

Adria, Martin levitated in this shoot. She is a doctor and a genius. How was it for you to expand on who she was from the comics?

Adria Arjuna: I think I relied on this guy a lot. We had conversations with the AOC. We have been really inspired by many things.

I think, sometimes in these movies, women can be overly sexual. I know it was Daniel’s idea, but Danel was very specific about looking like Sade, aesthetically speaking, and speaking with conviction like an AOC. But after Hanan the doctor who still has a heart and believes in science.

Those are the three qualities that I think really created Martin, and for the two of us it was like, “Oh my God. What are we going to do? What version of it do we want to say?” And I love her. She speaks with conviction. She is strong, cruel, fearless and has a heart of gold. These are all qualities I wish [I had]. I mean, I wish I was a little more like her.

After watching these movies, we always think, “What next?” How excited are you about the potential things could go, or who you could mingle with in the future?

Adria Arjuna: I think the possibilities are endless, to be perfectly honest. And I think we’re seeing the beginning of that. I’m so excited. Perhaps you should contact Sony and start promoting your team. thank you for that. You will do me a great favor.

Yeah, I’m so excited. I don’t know, and I think I’ll find out as I find out what’s going to happen in the future.

Adria Arjuna in Morbius

Daniel, a lot of people want to define the world we are in. Is there anything you can say about the schedule? Perhaps any Spider-Man exists in this world? I know Jared wants to deal with Tom Holland in the future. Did you manage to wrap your head around that?

Daniel Espinosa: No, but I’m Morbius speaking in what you might call Sony-Verse. If you remember, when Sony released the Spider-Verse, they introduced the idea of the different timelines that Kevin Feige later adopted with Marvel. It’s an idea that’s been in the studio for a long time.

We are in what some people call the poison verse. But these worlds have endless possibilities for interaction and circulation of people or information. Who knows what the future holds?

Adria, you will not only join Sony-Verse, but also star Wars the universe as well. What does it mean to be a part of this world?

Adria Arugna: Oh my God. I think they hired the wrong person, because it’s very hard not to share everything.

amazing thing. I can actually feel love and appreciation from people, and I can feel people welcome me into both universes. I don’t know, it feels really great. I almost got goosebumps when I said that. I can’t believe it yet.

Daniel Espinosa: It’s crazy. You are a big star now.

Adria Arjuna: Oh, stop. What is your name again? [laughs]

Daniel Espinosa: Daniel. You work with me. I was your manager.

If you can, go to Star Wars Celebration, because that’s the most exciting experience.

Adria Arjuna: Oh, I’m going!

I literally have a Star Wars tattoo, so I’m pretty ready.

Adria Arjuna: I love it. I was about to get my character’s name tattooed. But as I told Tony Gilroy, he was like, “Please don’t do that. You’re going to tell everyone what your character’s name is.” I was like, “Oh, right. Right, I can’t do that.”
