Overwatch 2 Beta Sojourn gameplay details

Arguably the most exciting element of the Overwatch 2 beta is the introduction of Sojourn, the new damage hero with powerful long-range attacks and plenty of horizontal and vertical navigation. Below, you’ll find an overview of Sojourn’s weapons and abilities shared by the developers in a recent live stream:

  • Railgen: Sojourn’s main weapon. Primary fires fast-fire projectiles that build energy. Secondary shoots for high-impact shots use stored energy.
  • power slice: An ability that allows Sojourn to glide in the direction you’re moving, increasing speed. Jumping while sliding results in a high jump.
  • interrupt shot: This allows Sojourn to shoot an energy field that slows down and destroys enemies caught in it.
  • Overclock: Sojourn’s ultimate ability that allows the Railgun to automatically generate energy for a period of time, while also granting Railgun attacks the ability to hack multiple enemies.

Overall, Sojourn will play like a mix between Soldier: 76 and Ashe. Between how well she can move with the Power Slide and the versatile power of her Railgun, Sojourn is a very strong champion.
