Besides Vulture, Sony’s Sinister Six has almost no connection to Spider-Man. Here’s why that might be a bad omen for the future Sony team.
The wicked six The one that Vulture recruits into the Sony Spider-Man Universe lacks the main motivation that makes them such an interesting team in the comics. Over the years, the Sinister Six has become known as a group of six Spider-Man enemies who join forces to defeat the wall crawler. The Sinister Six has an ever-changing roster of villains, but their motivation remains the same: to work as a team to eliminate the hero who defeated them all individually.
The eagle appears in the post-credits scene Morbius Refers to the first official step towards the formation of the Sinister Six, which will likely include the honorary stamp of the upcoming Craven the fisherman. With the movies in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe they seem to lead to wicked six A collective movie, it’s safe to say the team will consist of five Sony villains, led by Michael Keaton’s MCU Vulture, the only member who actually knows Spider-Man.
No matter how powerful this Sinister Six lineup may be, their lack of personal connections with Spider-Man remains troubling. In addition to their ability to make up for each other’s weaknesses, what makes the Sinister Six such a compelling team of villains is that they all have a personal grudge against Spider-Man. Each of their humiliating defeats at the hands of Spider-Man leads them to work with other unstable super villains, and although they come close to defeating Spider-Man, they always end up losing as a team as well. Without this connection to Spider-Man, nothing leads characters like Morbius, Venom, and Kraven toward the same goal.
Even without taking into account the comic book history of Sinister Six, there’s a lot Vulture can do to convince other villains that they need to fight a superhero they haven’t met. The eagle also forgot a large part of its history with the parietal crawler after spelling Dr. Strange at the end of Spider-Man: There is no room for home Valid, so his motives may not be clear either. Besides, characters like Venom and Morbius have proven to be very heroic. It would make sense for Morbius, Craven, and Venom to question the Eagle’s motives and fight it instead.
Spider-Man: There is no room for home He’s already set a high standard when it comes to live Sinister Six. Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Sandman, Lizard, and Electro had their own reasons to hate their own Spider-Man, and they also had a rationale for fighting Spider-Man Tom Holland, as he and Doctor Strange would either strip them of their abilities or send them to their deaths. Clearly, Sony wicked six She faces major challenges, starting with a strong explanation of her existence.
